Note that you do not need to complete pre-license hours for industrial fire, surplus lines, title insurance or limited life, surety, credit, variable life and variable annuity, travel or specialty limited lines credit insurance.

The most important thing is to choose a state approved course, which will correspond with state standards and qualify you for your insurance license.

Pass the state insurance license exam

The next step is to take and successfully pass the Louisiana insurance license exam. You must take one exam for each line of insurance you want (one exam for combined lines as well).
